About Cortec Laboratory Services

Cortec Pty Ltd is a long standing provider of core technical services for buildings and facilities, encompassing building automation and control, commissioning, ICA roles, testing and calibration in WA.

Cortec Pty Ltd is owned by Graham Cassidy, one of Honeywell’s first instrument technicians in Western Australia. Graham ran a number of his own businesses after Honeywell and has worked with a wide and varied array of automation and control technologies; his knowledge and expertise is unparalleled in his field.

In 2009 Cortec were working on the Curtin University Building B500 project where we were introduced to Laboratory Systems Group, who had secured the supply of fume cupboards, ductwork, chemically resistant fans, articulated fume arms and chemical storage. Cortec assisted Labsystems in the commissioning and handover of the job; to date, the largest project of its kind in Western Australia.

After Curtin B500, Cortec Pty Ltd began to undertake other tasks for Labsystems, then in 2014 were successful in becoming Labsystems WA Distributor and Service Agent.

Cortec Laboratory Services Pty was developed in order to better service the needs of laboratories in WA; as well as our agreement with Labsystems Group, we are also an approved PBA Safety supplier.

Shaun Reynolds commenced working for Graham in 2009 and headed up the Lab Services side of the business. Shaun has utilised his extensive management experience to drive forward Cortec’s relationships in WA and now heads up Cortec Laboratory Services as its Managing Director.
